Make CMS item changes live on your site

Click Publish in the item detail sheet to make the current item (and its saved changes) live on your Webflow site.

Open and edit the item

Make your changes and click Save if needed. See Open and edit an item and Save changes.

Click Publish

In the item sheet sidebar, click Publish. While publishing, the button shows Publishing….

Choose locale scope (multi-locale sites)

If the site has multiple locales, a dialog asks Publish item in which locales? Choose Current locale only or All locales.

Confirm reference warnings if shown

If draft references are detected, you may see Publish with draft references? Confirm to proceed or cancel to fix references first.

Site must be published first

If the Webflow site has never been published, the Publish button is disabled. Hover to see the tooltip:

Publish site to enable item publishing

Publish the site in Webflow at least once before you can publish individual CMS items from Wicked CMS.

Publish vs. save vs. queue

Multi-locale publishing

On multi-locale sites, choose:

  • Current locale only — publish the item in the locale you are currently viewing
  • All locales — publish the item across every locale on the site

After publishing

The item status updates to Published and publish state shows Live. Changed-field highlights are cleared for published values.

Bulk publish

To publish multiple items at once, use Update multiple items and choose Publish.
