Open in Webflow

Jump from a CMS item to Webflow

While most editing happens in Wicked CMS, you can open an item directly in Webflow when you need the Designer, site settings, or other Webflow features.

Open an item in Webflow

Open the item in Wicked CMS

Click OPEN on an item row to open the item detail sheet. See Open and edit an item.

Open the action menu

Click the ⋮ (more actions) button in the item sheet sidebar, next to the Publish button.

Click Open in Webflow

Select Open in Webflow. A new browser tab opens to the item in Webflow.

This is different from opening a site in Wicked CMS (clicking a site card on Your Webflow sites). Open in Webflow takes you to Webflow’s own interface for that specific CMS item.

When to use Open in Webflow

Use Open in Webflow when you need to:

  • Edit page structure or styling tied to the item
  • Access Webflow features not available in Wicked CMS
  • Verify how the item appears in the Webflow Designer

Changes made in Webflow are reflected in Wicked CMS after you reload the item or collection. See Reload an item from Webflow and Reload items.
