> For clean Markdown of any page, append .md to the page URL. > For a complete documentation index, see https://docs.wickedcms.com/restore-live/llms.txt. > For AI client integration (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.), connect to the MCP server at https://docs.wickedcms.com/_mcp/server. # Restore live **Restore live** discards draft changes and reverts an item to its last published (live) version in Webflow. ## Restore the live version #### Open the item Click **OPEN** on an item that has draft changes or is in a non-published state you want to revert. #### Open the action menu Click the **⋮** button in the item sheet sidebar, next to the **Publish** button. #### Click Restore live Select **Restore live** from the menu. #### Confirm A dialog titled **Restore live version?** appears. Click **Restore live** to confirm, or cancel to keep your current draft. ## When to use Restore live Use **Restore live** when you want to: * Discard all draft edits and return to the last published version * Undo a series of changes without resetting fields one at a time ## Restore live vs. reset field vs. reload | Action | Scope | Use when | | ---------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | | **Restore live** | Entire item, reverted to the published version | You want to undo all draft changes | | **Reset field** (Option/Alt-click label) | Single field | You want to undo one field's edit | | **Reload from Webflow** | Entire item, fetched from Webflow | Webflow may have newer data from another source | See [Reset a changed field](/reset-changed-field) and [Reload an item from Webflow](/reload-item-from-webflow). ## Availability **Restore live** appears in the ⋮ menu when the item has a published version to restore to. It is not available for items that have never been published. ## After restoring The item status and field values reflect the restored live version.
